Inmarsat Fleet Broadband (Hi Usage)
This airtime plan has been specially designed by Inmarsat for vessels sailing all year round and that make a high data usages and make many calls, typical of those seagoing ships that make long cross as cargo, tankers, cruise ships and mega yachts constantly connected to internet.
Notes specific to Allowance Plans

The Allowance in the Allowance Plans is Data (IP) only. All other services are charged in addition. Once all of the data allowance has been used, Standard or Out of Allowance rates apply.

The Allowance Plans can support up to 2 SIMs as long as they are both activated on the same vessel. The 2 SIM All You Can Eat (Unlimited) 2 SIM option will be available in Q1 2013.

FLAT RATE PLANS: The All You Can Eat (Unlimited) Plan is subject to a Fair Use Policy, available on request and is only available for the FB 500 Terminal.

Allowance Plans (except the Small Vessel and Unlimited Plans) can be ordered with billing monthly or annual (charged at the monthly subscription x12 in advance). The minimum contract duration is the same in both cases.

The option to pool traffic is not available for vessels provisioned on an annual in advance plan.

The provisioning of the Dual SIM plans and SCAPs requires Inmarsat to issue an activation ID for each vessel. A minimum of 3 business days lead time should be allowed to ensure no delays - Please contact GEOBORDERS for details.
SCAPS (Share Data Traffic around 10 or more vessels)

Is available ONLY For the 2GB and 6GB Allowance Plans - Where the number of vessels activated on the same Allowance Plan is 10 or higher for one fleet, the allowance for the vessels can be shared across the entire fleet (SCAP) -

Please note the slightly higher monthly SCAP subscription.

If in a given month the number of vessels activated on the same large allowance plan falls below 10 vessels then the pooling of traffic will stop.

Inmarsat è un sistema basato su una costellazione di satelliti geostazionari la cui copertura è mondiale, con la sola esclusione delle calotte polari in tutte le aree comprese tra il 76° parallelo Nord e Sud, come indicato graficamente nella cartina affianco.
Questo servizio è in grado di assicurare voce e dati broadband anche in navigazione. FleetBroadband, basato sullo standard 3G, consente, anche in navigazione, l’accesso simultaneo ai servizi voce e dati a banda larga fino a ben 432 kbps per posta elettronica, internet e intranet.
SERVIZI:

Standard IP: trasmissione dati fino a 432 kbps su un canale condiviso;

Streaming IP: trasmissione dati con banda garantita fino a 256kbps;

Voce: è possibile telefonare in tutto il Mondo utilizzando al tempo stesso la connessione internet;

ISDN: ISDN a 64 kbps;

SMS: invio e ricezione.
Sono disponibili terminali di differenti produttori con diverse performance e dimensioni dell’antenna a seconda della tipologia di imbarcazione. Tutti i terminali sono progettati e realizzati specificamente per l’utilizzo in ambiente marino, la velocità massima di connessione dati dipende del terminale utilizzato.
FB150: il terminale progettato per le navi di piccole e medie imprese. Offre connessioni IP standard fino a 150 kbps. Ed utilizza un’antenna di 29 centimetri di diametro.
FB250: connessioni IP fino a 284 kbps, streaming IP fino a 128 kbps. Antenna da 32 centimetri di diametro.
FB500: consente di effettuare connessioni IP standard fino a 432 kbps e streaming IP fino a 256 kbps. L'antenna è 60 cm di diametro.
